The Hylden farm is committed to producing the highest quality
flax. Over the years our farm has been awarded top honors for producing
the best flax in the state of North Dakota, where 96% of the nation's
flax is grown. The sterling silver trophy shown at right was presented
to David Hylden in 1931, and the championship ribbon in the photo
was awarded to Mark Hylden in October 2004 . The most recent award
was extra special, as it meant that our flax was the Walsh County
Fair sweepstakes winner as the best entry of all grains (corn,
soybeans, barley, wheat, durum, pinto beans and flax).
